EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The MSOE men's golf team shot a +114 (682) over two days to take 15th at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational Sunday and Monday at Eau Claire Golf & Country Club.
The Raiders finished 25 shots back of 14th place, while Bethel ran away with top honors at +13 (581)—15 strokes ahead of second place.
Junior Jacob Phelps paced the squad for the third-straight tournament, rebounding from a shaky opening round to shoot +5 (76) on Monday. He finished in a tie for 62nd place with a total score of +20 (162). Senior Macon Suckow was seven shots back of Phelps, shooting a +27 (169) for a tie for 76th place.
Sophomores Dylen Challe and Eric Fulsaas each shot +34 (176) for the weekend, tying for 82nd place. Fulsaas had the team's best opening round, shooting a +13 (84) on Sunday. Freshman Andrew Ramirez rounded out the team in 86th place, with a score of +38 (180).
MSOE returns to the links next weekend, heading to the Twin Cities Classic Saturday through Monday in Minnesota.
