WAUKESHA, Wis. – Three golfers shot a team-best +10 (84) to lead the MSOE golf team to a tie for 11th place at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Spring Invitational Saturday at Morningstar Golfers Club.
The Raiders finished with a team score of +46 (334) to tie with Lake Forest for 11th place, just three shots back of 10th place. Benedictine won the event at +17 (305).
Junior Jacob Phelps, sophomore Eric Fulsaas and freshman Andrew Ramirez shared the team lead and tied for 34th at the tournament. Phelps finished strong with a 39 on the back nine, while Ramirez carded a 39 on the front. Fulsaas, meanwhile, shot a 40 on the front and 42 on the back nine.
Freshman Dylen Challe was next up at +16 (88), tying for 59th place, while senior Macon Suckow shot a +23 (95) to tie for 69th place and round out the team scorers.
Freshman Reid Rumack competed as an individual player and was 65th at +19 (91).
The Raiders are back in action Sunday at the Lake Forest Invitational.
