AURORA, Ill. – Junior Jacob Phelps shot +27 (243) to tie for 12th and lead the MSOE men's golf team to a seventh-place showing at the NACC Championships Sunday and Monday at Stonebridge Country Club.

The Raiders finished at +124 (988) over three rounds, finishing just two shots out of sixth. MSOE opened the tournament Sunday with a 334, but opened Monday with the fourth-best second-round score of 324. The team's second round Monday came in at 330.

Concordia Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran tied for top honors at +94 (958) as the top four teams were separated by just four strokes. WLC won in a playoff.

Phelps opened with a +7 (79) Sunday, matching the team's best round of the tournament. He shot an 80 in his first round Monday and finished with an 84.

Sophomore Eric Fulsaas and freshman Dylen Challe each shot 79's on Monday morning. Fulsaas tied for 25th at + 33 (249) after finishing strong with an 82 in the afternoon. Challe also shot a final-round 82 to finish at +38 (254) and tied for 32nd.

Senior Macon Suckow tied for 29th at +35 (251). He opened with an 81 Sunday and shot 82 Monday afternoon. Freshman Andrew Ramirez also competed, tying for 41st place at +52 (268).

The Raiders return to the course quickly, competing Tuesday at the Carthage Invitational.
