BRISTOL, Ill. – Sophomore Jacob Phelps took fourth and sophomore Eric Fulsaas was sixth to lead the MSOE men's golf team to second place at the Aurora Triangular Friday and Saturday at Blackberry Oaks.
The Raiders scored +38 (326) each day to finish at +76 (652) for the tournament and finish behind the host Spartans with +61 (637). Benedictine took third, four strokes back of MSOE at +80 (656).
Phelps posted the team's low round of the event Saturday, shooting a +3 (75) on the day to finish the two-day tourney at +14 (158) and tied for fourth. Fulsaas was just two shots back, shooting +16 (160) over two rounds.
Freshman Dylen Challe placed 12th with a score of +22 (166), while senior Macon Suckow rounded out the Red & White scorers tied for 15th place at +28 (172).
A trio of rookies also played for the Raiders as freshmen Andrew Ramirez and Reid Rumack were both just one shot back +29 (173) to tie for 17th place. Freshman Kevin Banks was just another shot back at +30 (174) in 21st place.
