Hall Walks It Off Over #15 Titans

GLENDALE, Wis. – Back on March 21st, the MSOE baseball had an upset victory over #25 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to bring their home season. Six weeks later, history repeats itself as the Raiders take a walk-off victory over the #15 Titans.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • It was #15 UW-Oshkosh (24-9, 15-5 WIAC) who got the board first this time around with two runs to begin the first inning. MSOE (21-12, 12-10 NACC) put the pressure on in the bottom of the second, loading the bases with Nolan Wojciechowski bringing Sam Meidenbauer to score, but that was the only run they could snag, making the game 2-1. The Titans grew their lead to 4-1 with runs in both the third and fourth innings.
  • The Raiders didn't back down as in the bottom of the sixth, the offensive put immense pressure on the Titans putting two men in scoring position. A Kyle Labedz groundout brought in one run as Meidenbauer stepped in next blasting a triple into right center field to bring in another run to get within one. Freshman AJ Le who got the start tonight hit sacrifice fly to tie the game at 4-4 bringing Meidenbauer into score.
  • Aagam Shah and Joe Girciz came in relief for the last four innings and dominated to the no more runs on the board from the Titans, only allowing one hit and combining for five strikeouts. In the bottom of the ninth inning down to their final out and Wojciechowski in scoring position, the Titans struckout Chris Barnes, but a wild pitch allowed him to reach and move Wojciechowski to third. Blake Hall stepped in and wasted no time hitting right back to the pitcher who couldn't make a play, allowing Wojciechowski to score and walk it off inside MSOE Raiders Stadium.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will have their final home series of the season on Friday, May 5th when they play host to Marian University. First pitch is set for 12 PM.
