LAKE FOREST, Ill. – MSOE women's tennis was back in action after going 1-2 to open their season over Labor Day weekend and looking to get back on track against Lake Forest. Unfortunately, the Raiders road match did not go their way as they were swept by the Foresters 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (1-3) tried to get started off on the right foot in doubles action but were unable to secure any points. The pairing of Gabrielle Haensgen and Brenna Sheehan came the closest to a win out of the second spot in a 8-2 loss.
  • #1 Doubles – Karley Way & Stephania Gonzales fall to Strupovets/Bugnacki 8-1
  • #2 Doubles – Gabrielle Haensgen & Brenna Sheehan fall to Lopez/Daskal 8-2
  • #3 Doubles – Kelsey Collins & Emily Gutknecht fall to Ahn/Feist 8-0
• Singles play against Lake Forest (4-1) didn't go much better for the Red & White. MSOE lost eight sets via a 6-0 score and only Stephania Gonzales was able to win more than two games in a single stanza.
  • #1 Singles – Gabrielle Haensgen falls to Strupovets 6-0, 6-0
  • #2 Singles – Karley Way falls to Bugnacki 6-0, 6-0
  • #3 Singles – Stephania Gonzales falls to Anh 6-0, 6-2
  • #4 Singles – Brenna Sheehan falls to Lopez 6-1, 6-0
  • #5 Singles – Kelsey Collins falls to Feist 6-1, 6-0
  • #6 Singles – Emily Gutknecht falls to Daskal 6-0, 6-1

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will look to get back into the win column when they open up NACC play against Alverno this Saturday. First serve is slated for 10:00 am.
