GLENDALE, Wis. – The MSOE women's tennis team closed out their fall season on Sunday, as they went down to the wire against the Green Knights of St. Norbert College. The Raiders would lock up the #2 spot in the NACC in a rollercoaster 4-3 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (8-3, 8-1 NACC) found themselves at a disadvantage to the Green Knights (7-3, 7-2 NACC) after doubles play, as Karley Way and Gabrielle Haensgen were the lone MSOE doubles pairing to emerge with a win by a score of 6-4. #3 pair Brenna Sheehan and Michaela Haensgen were on the cusp of victory but narrowly fell to their Green Knights opponents following a tiebreaker as MSOE looked to turn the tide in singles.
- The Raiders would roar back into the lead following the completion of the #4 and #6 singles matches, as Sheehan and freshmen Delaney Premeau captured victories in straight sets for MSOE, giving them the 2-1 lead. M. Haensgen would add another singles victory for the Raiders win a 6-1, 7-5 triumph, as things were knotted up at 3-3 heading into the final set of the afternoon.
- Reigning NACC Student-Athlete of the Week G. Haensgen would come through in the clutch for the Red and White, securing the win and the #2 spot in the NACC tournament with a back-and-forth 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 victory.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders have wrapped up for the fall with a record of 8-3, going 8-1 against NACC opponents including the first win over Concordia Wisconsin in program history on October 9th. The Raiders will resume their season on Wednesday, April 16
th when they travel to Kenosha for a matchup against the Firebirds of Carthage College.
