HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshmen Toren Vandenbush and Jackson Hughes were men of the hour for the Raiders as both won their brackets in the round robin/scramble style tournament. Vandenbush ripped off four straight victories including two decisive fall wins, one of which came in just 44 seconds against Joey Barnett of Carthage College to secure his first-place finish in the 165 bracket. Not to be outdone by his freshman counterpart, Hughes opened the day with back-to-back fall wins, before receiving a bye in the third round. Hughes would record a 12-7 decision victory for the Raiders over Giles Cowell of Ellsworth CC to win the 174 "A" bracket.
- Jesse Johnson, Max Sanderfoot, Connor Nagela and Jake Schmitt all brought home second place finishes for the Raiders from Plymouth. Johnson scored two quick fall wins at 125 before falling via tech fall in the championship match, while Sanderfoot recorded fall and major decision wins before being pinned in the championship match. Nagela scored two major decision wins at 157, and Schmitt saw wins via tec fall and major decision at 197 before both came up just short in the championship matches in their respective divisions
- Liam Anderson and Gavin Graham secured 3rd place finishes for the Red and White, as Graham won his final match of the evening via fall over Dawson Galvan of Concordia Wisconsin, while Anderson ended the day with a tech fall victory over Adam Pena of Harper College.
