WAUKESHA, Wis. – The MSOE Men's Tennis team took on the Pioneers of Carroll University Friday night, losing a 5-4 heartbreaker.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE went 1-2 in doubles action, with Andres Saavedra and Carlos Calabuig-Patino winning the second doubles set 8-6. The Raiders nearly had the advantage in doubles but Alex Nakasato and Yacine Ferjani narrowly lost an 8-7 thriller to give the Pioneers the edge.
- Saavedra continued his winning ways after earning the NACC Student Athlete of the Week award, emerging victorious in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
- Clark Rue also brought home a singles win in straight sets (7-5, 6-2) while Emilio Ulloa won his first set with relative ease, 6-2. Ulloa would have to battle for his win, taking his opponent to the limit in a 7-6 marathon. The Raiders singles success would not be enough to overcome the losses in doubles as the Raider fell 5-4.
