GLENDALE, Wis. – The MSOE women's tennis team hosted their opening round matchup of the NACC tournament on Monday night, as the Raiders season came to a close against the Green Knights of St. Norbert.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (7-11, 5-4 NACC) dropped a marathon first set in doubles to St. Norbert (9-12, 5-4 NACC) by a score of 87-74, before the Raiders bounced back with an 8-4 win, courtesy of the pairing of Gabrielle Haensgen and Brenna Sheehan. The Raiders would fall in the third doubles set after an 8-6 battle in the final doubles set of the season.
- The Raiders Stephania Gonzales posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory in straight sets to keep the Raiders in the fight, as the first team to five would seal a spot in the next round. Gabrielle Haensgen would clinch a 6-3, 7-5 win to knot things up at three wins a piece for each team heading into the final three singles sets. Despite forcing extra games in both matches, the Raiders would fall in straight sets, ending the night and season for MSOE.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders have wrapped up for 2023-24, posting a 7-11 overall record, with a 5-4 record in conference play.
