RIVER FOREST, Ill. - MSOE women's tennis opened their 2024-25 NACC conference schedule on Saturday morning against the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago, as the Raiders brought home a 5-2 win, their first of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders were unable to come away with the doubles point against the Cougars, but the #1 doubles team of Gabrielle Haensgen and Karley Way came out on top 6-2 to give the Raiders momentum heading into singles play.
- Stephania Gonzalez won a thrilling match in the #1 singles spot after going to a tiebreak in the first set and escaping the second with a score of 7-5. Gonzalez played 22 games in the final set to seal a marathon 12-10 win.
- Bethany Noonan won her singles match in straight sets without allowing her opponent to get on the board (6-0, 6-0), as Way and G. Haensgen were also able to secure singles wins for the Raiders and give MSOE a 5-2 victory.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will look host their first NACC matchup of the season when the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Tech make the trip down on September 11
th. The action is set for a 5:30 start at Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wis.
