HOW IT HAPPENED
  • vs. #18 Ithaca College
    • Toren Vandenbush was the lone Raider to pick up a win against the Bombers, as the freshman pinned his opponent is just 1:37 to secure the only team points of the dual for the Red and White.
    • Jackson Hughes and Jake Schmitt nearly came out on top in their bouts but lost narrow decisions by just three points each.
  • vs. #22 Ohio Northern University
    • After dropping the first three matches of the dual to the Polar Bears, Connor Nagela put MSOE on the board with his 4-2 decision victory before Michael Smith matched his teammate with a 7-6 decision win of his own.
    • Vandenbush scored another fall victory to tie things up 12-12 between the two teams, before the Polar Bears regained the lead.  Gavin Graham bought the Red and White within one point, but with the Raiders having to forfeit at 285, the dual was all but wrapped.
  • vs. Messiah University
    • Jesse Johnson put the Raiders up 6-0 early after scoring a pin in less than 30 seconds, followed up by teammate Max Sanderfoot putting up a 17-1 technical fall as MSOE led 11-5.
    • The Falcons would shutdown the Raiders the rest of the way, scoring seven straight wins against MSOE as the Raiders were unable to capture a victory on Friday.
  • vs. Oswego State
    • The Raiders recorded four straight wins to open their dual against the Lakers, including pinfall wins for both Johnson and Sanderfoot as the Red and White opened an early 21-0 lead.
    • Vandenbush and Hughes would lock things up for the Raiders, with Vandenbush posted a 15-0 tech fall win, and Hughes following it up with a win via pin in 2:08.
  • vs. York College of Pennsylvania
    • The Raiders secured 13th place with a 30-17 win over the Spartans with victories from Sanderfoot, Nagela, Vandenbush, Hughes and Schmitt.  Smith would record his second win of the day with a 17-8 major decision win, and Schmitt would close things out for the Raiders win a 5-1 decision triumph.
