WAUKESHA, Wis. – The MSOE swimming & diving team kicked off the 2025-26 campaign Saturday afternoon with a dual over Carroll University. The men ran away with a blowout victory while the women finished just a few events shy of the win.

MEN'S TEAM RECAP
- The men kicked off the day, winning the 200-yard medley as the group of Joven Langseth, Evan Scapinski, Tyler VanGompel, and Lucas Geisler finished in a time of 1:41.06. The Raiders then completely swept the 200-yard freestyle, going 1-4 with Isaac Urban leading the charge in 1:51.66. Urban also won the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 49.98. VanGompel won two events individually, first the 200-yard IM in 2:03.52 and then the 100-yard back in 58.24. Other event winners were Caleb Brewer in the 100-yard butterfly (53.17), Theodore Thomas in the 50-yard freestyle (21.72), Noah Cheng in the 500-yard freestyle (5:12.42), and Scapinski in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.30).
WOMEN'S TEAM RECAP
- Just like the men, the women kicked off the day winning the 200-yard medley with the group of Jocelyn Katte, Kenzie Solberg, Gabby Schmid, and Jordan Konz finishing in a time of 2:00.82. Having individual wins, Anna Baker won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.86, while Schmid won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.94 and 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.83.
- With runner-up finishes, Jayden Buenemann finished the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:32.19, along with Solberg finishing the 200-yard freestyle in 2:10.71 and 100-yard breaststroke in 1:15.90.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will have next weekend off before competing at the Wisconsin Showcase in Brown Deer. Action is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
