MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's hockey team fell to #8 Adrian College Saturday afternoon as they couldn't slow down the powerplay offense of the Bulldogs.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 1
#8 Adrian – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Adrian (8-2-0, 8-0-0 NCHA) picked up right where they left off last night, striking midway through the first period. MSOE (4-7-1, 3-4-1 NCHA) fell victim to the penalty box late in the period as the Bulldogs struck again as they headed into the break leading 2-0.
- The Bulldogs went on the powerplay coming out of the break and converted yet again to add to their lead. The Raiders went on a powerplay of their own with under five minutes to play and after Emily Reiner put the puck in the middle of the net with both teams converging over it, Hannah Baumann escaped out of it to send it to the back of the net to cut the deficit to 3-1 at the break.
- The Bulldogs continued to tact to their lead, striking just 26 seconds into the third period beginning on the powerplay. The Bulldogs then added one more goal to their total as the Raiders couldn't keep pace the rest of the way.
