LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The MSOE women's hockey team played their final game of their inaugural season Saturday afternoon, battling Lake Forest College on the road.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 0
Lake Forest - 7
HOW IT HAPPENED
- You could tell Lake Forest (12-10-3, 8-7-3 NCHA) didn't want to waste time to get something on offense going as they total 13 shots in the first period. Hannah Baumann got two shots off in the first for MSOE (4-19-2, 3-13-2 NCHA), but the Forester struck midway through on the power-play to have the lead at the first break.
- The Forester's offense began to click the remainder of the game as they totaled 35 shots over the final two periods to explode on the Raiders. The Foresters added two goals in second with one coming on the powerplay, while adding four in the second (one powerplay and one short-handed) to seal things.
