HOW IT HAPPENED
- After being shutout in doubles play, the Raiders had their work cut out for them, needing dominance in singles for a victory. Andres Saavedra started the Raiders off on the right foot from the #1 spot, delivering a 7-6, 6-0 win.
- Miguel Lopez scored a 6-1, 6-0 win in the #5 slot, while teammate Augusto Eiji Yamazaki mirrored that result in his victory from the #6 spot.
- Carlos Patino would be the hero the Raiders needed with both teams deadlocked at three wins apiece. The sophomore from Allcante, Spain would come through in the clutch, winning a tiebreaker in his final set (6-4, 7-6) to get the Red and White in the win column.
