HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs Webster
- The Raiders trailed the Gorlocks after Webster brought around a run in the top of the first, but the Red and White would jump out to a 2-1 lead in the top of third inning afer a successful double steal brought Jack Kalitowski home.
- After the Gorlocks regained the lead in the bottom of the inning, JJ Jackson dialed in, retiring the side in order in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Raiders would regain the lead in the top of the fifth after Christian Bosque drew a bases loaded walk to knot the game up, followed up by a sacrifice bunt from Robert Erickson to give the Raiders a 4-3 lead. The Raiders lead would increase to 6-3 after Elias Lopez stepped into box for his first career at-bat, delivering a clutch RBI single to right field.
- In the bottom of the sixth, the game would get out of hand for the Red and White, as the Gorlocks batted around the order, scoring 15 answered runs as MSOE fell to Webster 18-6.
- Vs TCNJ
- Against The College of New Jersey, Max Babich took the mound for the Red and White, striking out seven over four innings of work for the Red and White. Bosque would barrel a ball to deep center field in the top of the fourth inning, notching a 1-out triple against the Lions followed up by Lopez in the clutch once again for the Raiders, cracking another RBI single to bring Bosque across and give the Raiders a 1-0 lead.
- The Lions would bring the tying run around in the bottom of the fifth, as Caden Morton entered in relief of Babich and nearly got the Raiders out of a jam unscathed. TCNJ would take a 2-1 lead on a single in the seventh, and upped their lead to 4-1 after the eight, with the Raiders in desperate need of a rally. Despite hard contact from all three Raiders batters, the Lions would retire the side in order as the Raiders came up just short.
