Four Raiders Earn All-NACC Honors in Softball

MILWAUKEE – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced the all-conference award winners for the 2025 softball season, with MSOE seeing two names on the All-NACC First Team and two names on the Honorable Mention list.

Sophomore Jayda Nelson and Katie Pollock represented the Red and White on the conference's First Team, as they led the Raiders from both the plate and the playing field.  Nelson started all 44 games at first base for MSOE this season, posted a top ten batting average in the conference, hitting .401 while leading the team in hits (58) and RBIs (37) and playing stellar defense with a .979 fielding percentage.  Nelson's 37 RBI was tied for third most in the NACC. Pollock was the primary starting pitcher for the Red and White this season as well, posting a 13-11 record with 140 strikeouts, finishing second in the NACC in total strikeouts.  Pollock led the conference in innings pitched and faced the second most batters of any pitcher in the NACC. Pollock was no slouch at the plate either, finishing in the top five in the conference in batting average among qualified hitters (.408) while driving in fourteen runs for the Raiders.

Alyssa Jacobson and Autumn Sadler rounded out the crop of awards for the Raiders as they were both named All-NACC Honorable Mention.  Jacobson, a senior outfielder, hit .358 for the Red and White this season, hitting an MSOE program record seven home runs, which was a top five mark in the conference.  Jacobson drove in 23 runs for MSOE this season, while scoring 28 runs in 95 at-bats.  Sadler made 43 starts for the Raiders this season as the primary catcher, as the Raiders backstop hit .324 this season, scoring 25 runs as the team's leadoff hitter.  Sadler also played stellar defense behind the plate, committing just four errors on the way to a .982 fielding percentage.

The Raiders posted a record of 21-23 this season, with a 15-9 record in conference play.  The Raiders earned the No. 5 seed in the 2025 NACC Tournament, advancing to the double elimination stage before being eliminated by No. 2 seed Dominican University.
