HARTFORD, Wis. – The MSOE men's golf team competed at the WLC Invite over the weekend, playing two rounds at the familiar Washington County Golf Course. The Raiders would sit in 2
nd place, six strokes behind the Carthage Firebirds after round one, before mounting a seven stroke comeback in round two as they brought home their first victory since The Legends Classic last spring.

Tristan Biesterfeld (2
nd, E) shot even across the 36 holes, finishing just one stroke behind the leader as he took home a 2
nd place individual finish. Biesterfeld shot three under in the first round of play, holding his 2
nd place pot nearly all tournament long. Senior
Alfredo Lopez Candela (T-11
th, +5) posted the best individual score in the second round, finishing two strokes under par on Sunday, and just one stroke outside the top ten overall. Freshman
Dylan Handlan (T-6
th, +3) would join his teammate in a dominant day for the Raiders, as Handlan finished tied for 6
th overall after 36 holes, after shooting two under par across the first eighteen holes.
