MILWAUKEE – The MSOE Men's and Women's Rowing teams are this week's Raiders of the Week after both crews set program records during their trip to Marietta, Ohio over the weekend.
In the women's record setting effort, the Red and White's crew of
Ava Pike,
Allison Bauer,
Grace Ivey,
Isabella Blair,
Johanna Glinz,
Duaa Aljalous,
Ainelise Manzke and
Jen Miller were led by coxswain
Keith Perona as they raced down the course, posting the new program best time of 6:34.35.
On the men's side, the Raiders posted their program record time of 5:51.30, as coxswain
Siena Carli led MSOE's crew of
Liam Otten,
Asuka Suzuki,
Andre DeWet-Daniels,
Garin Schilling,
David Frenkel, Michael Zsykowski,
Jacob Borowczak and
Ryan LeMay in their first official race of the spring season against the University of Wisconsin.
The women will back in action this weekend on Saturday, March 28
th, when they head to University of Central Oklahoma. The men will return to competition at the Devil's Lake Invite in Adrian, Michigan on Saturday, April 4
th.
