GLENDALE, Wis. – The MSOE women's tennis team had their home opener Tuesday evening, hosting Illinois Tech to continue conference action. The Raiders came close to victory in the No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles but were unable to get past the Scarlet Hawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ana Clara Kamiyama and Sadie Dakay took their doubles match to a tie breaker, falling 7-4 in the end. Illinois Tech (1-2, 1-0 NACC) would take final two doubles matches 6-0 and 6-0.
- MSOE (0-2, 0-2 NACC) looked to grab a point in the singles matches as Dakay took the first set of the #1 singles match 6-2 and went into a tiebreaker in the set, leading 1-0 before the match was called off due to rain. Stephania Gonzalez fought back in the #2 singles, dropping the first set 6-1, eventually dropping the second set 6-3. The Scarlet Hawks would dominate the remaining matches to sweep the match.
