High School: Missed a good portion of his senior year due to injury ... ranked in the Top 30 in the state according to Prep Baseball Report ... batted .321 with 13 runs scored as the Warhawks were ranked No. 1 most of the season before being eliminated in the state sectionals in a 27-2 campaign ... got off to a fast start – batting .467 – as a junior before tearing his ACL, as the team won its first 12 games and was No. 1 in the state ... became one of the few student-athletes to start as a sophomore for Arrowhead, hitting .287 on the season as the starting shortstop ... also played football for three seasons.
