MSOE Shut Down By CUW

MEQUON, Wis. – The MSOE women's soccer team was unable to get its offense on track in a 4-0 loss to Concordia Wisconsin Saturday afternoon at Fitting Field.

The Raiders (8-8, 5-3 NACC) outshot the host Falcons (7-7, 5-2) 14-12 and forced had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks, but they were unable to find the back of the net.

Carly Pfannerstil scored two goals for CUW, including the game-winner in just the sixth minute. Brittany Klumpp and Anna Hirssig also scored, while Emily Ciesielczyk had two assists.

Despite being down, MSOE fought to get back into the game late, but freshman Sara Travia saw shots hit the post and cross bar successively in the 80th and 82nd minutes.

MSOE returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Dominican at MSOE Field.
