MILWAUKEE – Sophomore Kasey Mylin had seven service aces and a trio of freshmen had 10 kills apiece as the MSOE women's volleyball team swept Mount Mary for the third time this season Tuesday evening at the Bloechl Center.

The Raiders (7-10) made short work of the Blue Angels (0-17), scoring wins of 25-13, 25-7, 25-15 on the evening.

MSOE hit .329 as a team, led by freshman Rachel Lynde's 10 kills on a .533 attack percentage. She shared game-high honors in kills with fellow rookies Sarabeth Haworth and Maria Bintz.

While the offense was on point in the match, the Raiders' defense was also effective, as MMU hit .000 for the match and notched just 12 kills. MSOE limited the home team to negative hitting percentages in the first two sets before the Blue Angels were able to tally six kills while hitting .200 in the final set.

Mount Mary actually got out to early leads in the first and third sets, but the Red and White quickly took control. In the first, it was a 14-2 run that turned around a 5-2 deficit. Then, in the final frame, it was 3-1 MMU before seven-straight points gave the Raiders the lead for good. In the middle set, MSOE was all over the home team from the start, opening on a 14-2 run and never looking back.

The Raiders will look for a third-straight win when they return to action Friday at Alverno.
