MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's tennis team dropped its first NACC match of the season, 5-4, vs. Wisconsin Lutheran Wednesday at the McKinley Tennis Courts.
The Raiders (3-9, 1-1 NACC) won a pair of doubles points, but took just two singles matches in falling to the Warriors (4-8, 1-1 NACC).
MSOE secured hard-fought wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles and another victory in the No. 5 position. In doubles, the Raiders secured a point at No. 2.
Freshman John Price was victorious in both of his matches. He competed at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2, and teams with freshman Tom Smith for an easy 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
Junior Zachary Dam won in the No. 2 singles slot 7-6, 2-6, 6-3. Freshman David Gorodetsky scored the No. 3 point, rebounding from a 6-3 loss in the first set to win out 7-5, 13-11.
The Raiders return to action Sunday at Marian.
