MADISON, Wis. – The MSOE men's team took an early lead after doubles play, but fell to Wisconsin Lutheran in the final singles match in the NACC Tournament semifinals Saturday afternoon at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
The top-seeded Raiders (10-10) took a 2-1 lead into singles play, but the No. 4 Warriors (12-9) too three of the first four singles matches to tie the score at 4-4. WLC then picked up the final point in three sets at No. 6 singles to advance to the title match against No. 3 Concordia Wisconsin.
Freshmen David Gorodetsky and John Price each won both singles and doubles for MSOE. Gorodetsky won at No. 3 singles 7-6 (7-1), 6-4, and teamed with senior Eric Klamrowski for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Price played to a 6-0, 6-1 win in the No. 5 position and was victorious at No. 3 doubles 8-0 with freshman Tom Smith.
