GLENDALE, Wis. – The MSOE women's tennis team won the top four singles points and all three doubles points on its way to an 8-1 victory over Lakeland Wednesday afternoon at River Glen.
The Raiders (1-7, 1-3 NACC) were dominant in each of their wins, winning three points off the Muskies (0-3, 0-3 NACC) without surrendering a point.
Senior Marly Trier and freshman Carly Grant took points in the top two singles places and teamed for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles. Trier took down her No. 1 singles opponent 6-1, 6-3, while Grant won in the No. 2 position easily, 6-0, 6-0.
MSOE got similar results from its next two positions, as junior Brittany Kelley won at No. 3 singles and her doubles partner, senior Emily Dvorsky, was victorious at No. 4. Kelley won 6-0, 7-6 (7-0) and Dvorsky picked up the 6-4, 6-0 win. In doubles play, the pair won 8-0 at No. 2.
The singles wins for Kelley and Dvorsky were their first of the season.
The Red & White closed out the match with a pair of wins by default in the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 positions.
The Raiders return to action Saturday, hosting a pair of conference teams at McKinley Courts. MSOE will take on Dominican at 10 a.m. and Concordia Chicago at 2 p.m.
