RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Junior Austin Stueck scored 30 points and junior Connor Patterson posted a double-double to lead the MSOE men's basketball team to a 76-72 victory over Concordia Chicago Saturday afternoon at Geiseman Gymnasium.

The Raiders (6-6 3-4 NACC) outscored the Cougars (3-8, 1-7 NACC) 48-40 in the second half to get back on the winning track.

Stueck netted his second 30-point outing in three games to lead the way, shooting 9-of-19 from the field and 11-of-13 at the free throw line. He also pulled down eight rebounds. Patterson scored 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting and grabbed 13 boards.

Kylan Anderson led CUC with 16 points. Mike Walmer and Kostas Doxakis added 13 points apiece.

MSOE trailed by as many as six in the game, overtaking the Cougars for the final time with just over 11 minutes remaining. The visitors then built their own advantage as high as seven and fended off three ties.

Stueck made four-straight free throws in the final minute to seal the game. His two charity tosses with 52 seconds to play broke a 72-72 tie. Senior Nathan Verdun then block Concordia's attempt to equalize on the other end. Consecutive steals by each team cancelled each other out and Stueck finished the game with a pair of free throws with two seconds remaining.

The Raiders shot 47.2 percent from the field, working the ball into the paint with a season-low seven 3-point attempts. Their efforts resulted in 31 trips to the free throw line, where they made 25 (.806). Concordia shot 41.9 percent from the field, hit on five 3-pointers and made 15-of-21 free throws (.714).

MSOE returns to the court Wednesday, hosting Aurora.
