Box Score OSHKOSH, Wis. - Christina Mauthe scored two goals in the first half to lead UW-Oshkosh past the MSOE women's soccer team 2-0 Saturday evening at J.J. Keller Field.
The Raiders (7-6) were outshot in the first half 17-5 by the Titans (9-2), but had a 7-5 shot edge in the second half with four shots on goal and one shot off the woodwork.
Oshkosh had all of the momentum in the opening half, putting four shots on frame and jumping out to the 2-0 advantage.
MSOE did not quit, adjusting at halftime and becoming the more threatening side after intermission. As it fought to get on the scoreboard, junior Becca Keller hit the crossbar in the 69th minute as the Raiders' best chance.
At the other end of the field, the Red & White defense did not allow any of the Titans' five second-half shots on goal.
Sophomore Mary McFee made four saves in the first half, while junior Sydney Stephens played the second half.
The Raiders return to the field Wednesday, hosting Edgewood at Viets Field.
