Box Score

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Junior Sara Travia scored two goals and assisted on a third to surpass 100 career points and lead the MSOE women's soccer team to a 7-0 rout of Lakeland Wednesday afternoon at Muskies Soccer Field.

The Raiders (10-6, 6-2 NACC) outshot the Muskies (4-14, 1-7 NACC) 33-6 in the match, striking for three goals in the first half and four more after halftime.

Travia entered the match with 99 career points and got No. 100 when she set up senior Natalie Gayner's game-winning goal in just the fourth minute. Travia would then add a goal of her own in the 25th minute and again with one of two Red & White scores in the 59th minute. Her 104 career points have come on 43 goals and 18 assists.

Travia joins Jessica Axt (167 points) and Paula Bohl (134) in the MSOE 100-point club.

Six different Raiders scored goals in the match, as sophomore Melina Lynn nabbed the third goal, off an assist from sophomore Kassidy Girmscheid, just before halftime in the 42nd minute.

The second-half scoring got started with a pair of goals just 30 seconds apart. Gayner set up senior Aly Loepfe for her sixth goal of the game at 58:28 and Travia followed with her second goal exactly 30 seconds later.

Junior Ally Brehm, who set up Travia's second score, also set up a goal for sophomore Carley Mitus in the 66th minute. Sophomore Rachael Griffin then capped the scoring in the 87th minute off an assist from sophomore Sarah Kahl.

MSOE put 18 of its 33 shots on frame in the match, forcing the Muskies' goalkeeper into 10 saves with one team save.

Three different players played in goal for the Raiders to secure the shutout. Sophomore Mary McFee got the start and earned the victory, while junior Sydney Stephens made one save and junior Haley Anderson two.

With the win, MSOE secured its seventh-straight season with at least 10 wins and its eighth-straight winning campaign.
