JACKSON, Wis. - The MSOE men's tennis team swept the doubles points and split the singles matches in securing a 6-3 victory over Concordia Wisconsin 6-3 Friday evening at Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club.
The Raiders (8-9, 4-1 NACC) have now won four-straight conference matches and defeated the Falcons (4-9, 2-1 NACC) for the second-straight meeting.
Sophomore Tom Smith extended his overall winning streak to 10-straight matches, having won both his singles and doubles points for the fifth-straight match. His day opened with a No. 2 doubles victory teaming with sophomore John Price for an 8-2 victory. In singles play, he won in straight sets at No. 5, 6-3, 6-1.
Sophomore David Gorodetsky and senior Matthew Slaughter also scored both singles and doubles points for MSOE. Gorodetsky paired with sophomore Mason Sauder for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles. He then won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Slaughter and senior Zachary Dam won their No. 1 doubles match, 8-3, and Slaughter won at No. 4 singles in three sets, 5-7, 6-2, 10-1.
The Raiders continue on their stretch of five-straight road matches Wednesday at Lakeland.
