BROOKFIELD, Wis. – The MSOE men's tennis team won five-of-six singles points and a pair of doubles matches to defeat Wisconsin Lutheran 7-2 Friday afternoon at Elite Sports Club.
The Raiders (6-9, 2-1 NACC) avenged a pair of 5-4 losses to the Warriors (2-8, 1-2 NACC) last season, including in the NACC Tournament.
Sophomores David Gorodetsky, Jon Price and Tom Smith each won both their singles and doubles points in the match, while seniors Andrew Kosasih added singles points.
MSOE scored singles victories at the No. 2-6 positions, led by Gorodetsky at No. 2, 7-5, 6-0. Price netted a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3, while Smith claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5. Slaughter won at No. 4 6-4, 6-2 and Kosasih closed out the win with a 7-5, 6-2 win.
In doubles, Price and Smith were 8-1 victors at No. 2, while Gorodetsky teamed with sophomore Mason Sauder for an 8-4 win at No. 3.
The Raiders have won two-straight NACC matches and will look to continue their run Saturday at Aurora.
