Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The MSOE women's soccer team opened the NACC portion of its schedule with a 2-0 loss to Dominican Saturday at West Campus Field.
The Raiders (4-3, 0-1 NACC) conceded a pair of first-half goals to the Stars (3-2, 1-0 NACC), but were unable to find the back of the net.
A penalty kick in the 21st minute got the scoring started as DU's Taylor Adler converted from the spot for a 1-0 lead. Lauren Zuro then added an insurance goal for the home side just a couple minutes before halftime.
Dominican held a slight 13-11 advantage in shots and each team took six corner kicks. Junior Sydney Stephens got the start in goal and made two saves in the first half. Sophomore Mary McFee played a scoreless second half for the Raiders, also making a pair of saves.
MSOE returns to action Wednesday, hosting Marian at Viets Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
