RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The MSOE women's tennis team defeated Dominican and Concordia Chicago to push its conference winning streak to four-straight matches Saturday in River Forest.

The Raiders (4-6, 4-2 NACC) defeated the Stars 5-4 in the morning, then came back to down the Cougars 7-2.

Three different players posted four wins each on the day over singles and doubles play, led by the doubles tandem of seniors Brittany Kelley and Melanie Avery. The duo paired at No. 3 doubles and posted wins of 9-7 against DU and 8-4 at CUC. In singles play, Kelley picked up straight-set wins of 6-3, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-0.

Avery played at No. 5 singles at Dominican and won 6-1, 6-1. She then moved up to No. 5 in the second match and scored a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 victory.

Sophomore Carly Grant also had a perfect day, playing at No., 2 doubles with senior Michelle Roubik and winning both matches by a score of 8-4. In singles, Grant played in the top spot and rebounded from a first-set loss for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win against the Stars. Then, she got past her Cougar opponent in two sets 6-2, 6-3.

Freshmen Cali Bonie and Pauline Scharping also scored singles wins against Concordia. Playing at No. 3, Bonie won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Scharping then scored a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6.
