Box Score 2 DUBUQUE, Iowa – The MSOE women's volleyball team was swept in two matches on the final day of the IIAC-NACC Crossover Saturday at Loras College.
The Raiders (9-9) fell to Dubuque (8-8) in the opener, 25-19, 25-20, 25-16, then dropped a three-set match to Luther (11-6) in the afternoon, 25-15, 25-19, 25-14.
Against the Spartans, both teams finished with 38 kills, but the difference was attack errors. MSOE had 23 errors and hit .146, but UD had just six for a .348 attack percentage.
Freshman Hannah Pekarek finished with 11 kills in the match and junior Rachel Lynde notched 10.
The Red & White offense struggled against the Norse to the tune of a .071 hitting percentage. Luther hit .207 in securing the sweep.
Lynde added nine more kills in the second match and senior Leah Hendricks finished with seven.
The Raiders return to NACC play next Friday, playing at Concordia Chicago.
