Box Score MEQUON, Wis. – Senior Connor Patterson scored a game-high 20 points, but it was not enough as the MSOE men's basketball team could not keep up with Concordia Wisconsin in an 86-64 loss Wednesday evening at Buuck Field House.
The Raiders (9-7, 6-5 NACC) were tied with the Falcons (8-8, 6-6 NACC) less than seven minutes into the second half, but could not overcome a pair of runs by the home team in falling.
Patterson added six rebounds and two blocks in the game, while edging closer to 1,000 career points. He finished the night with 976. Senior Austin Stueck added 14 points and junior Collin Seubert scored 11.
Concordia Wisconsin put five players in double-figures, led by Brad Pinsen's 19 points. Kaeith Kahlfeldt had 17, Taron Edwards 13 off the bench and both Eric Kittel and Malcom Bowers notched 11.
The score was 46-46 after a Patterson free throw with 13:32 remaining in the game. The Falcons then went on an 11-2 run over two minutes to take the lead for good. The lead was 10 at 72-62 with 3:58 play, then CUW put the game away with a 12-1 run to open an 84-63 lead with just over a minute remaining.
MSOE could not keep up with CUW, shooting just 38.6 percent from the field against the home team's 51.6 percent.
The Raiders return to the court Saturday, hosting No. 4 Benedictine.
