MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's soccer team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss to Dominican Saturday afternoon at Viets Field.

The Raiders (8-6, 4-2 NACC) fell behind 2-0 in the first half, but pushed forward in the second half to draw within one before the Stars (8-2-2, 5-0 NACC) put the game out of reach.

Junior Sean Tabbert scored MSOE's lone goal off a nice set piece in the 54th minute. Junior Braden Andryk took a free kick from 40 yards out in the center of the field. His set piece found junior Gregory Borsari at one post, where he headed across the face of goal to Tabbert at the other post for an in-stride volley.

The goal made it 2-1 with over 36 minutes remaining, but the Red & White could not find the equalizer before an insurance goal for Dominican in the 80th minute.

The visitors struck first in the 22nd minute and added a second goal at the 36-minute mark to create the 2-0 first half lead. Shots were 7-1 in DU's favor in the opening half, but the Raiders made some adjustments that showed promise in the second half and looked capable of pulling even.

Dominican finished with a 10-5 shot advantage for the game, including 6-2 in shots on goal. Senior Jeff Clements made three saves in the match.

The Raiders will take a quick break from league play when it returns to action Tuesday, hosting Maranatha.
