MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's tennis team won all nine matches and did not drop a single game in five of them in rolling to a 9-0 shutout of Lakeland Wednesday afternoon at Lake Park.
The Raiders (6-12, 4-2 NACC) scored a pair of 8-0 doubles wins and three 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles against the Muskies (0-9, 0-4 NACC).
Juniors Austin Campbell and Kyle Fassbender each posted wins in both singles and doubles without dropping a game. Campbell played at No. 3 singles and teamed with junior Tyler Haanen for the win at No. 3 doubles. Fassbender played at No. 4 singles and teamed with junior Mason Sauder at No. 2 doubles.
Haanen won his No. 6 singles match, 6-2, 6-2. Meanwhile, sophomore Ryan Runke had one of the 6-0, 6-0 singles wins, doing so in the No. 5 position.
Juniors John Price and Tom Smith dominated the top of the lineup, winning together at No. 1 doubles, 8-1, and scoring singles wins, as well. Price won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 and Smith was a 6-2, 6-1 victor at No. 2.
The Raiders are back in action Friday against Carthage in Kenosha.
