PELLA, Iowa - The MSOE women's volleyball team had three players post double-doubles and senior Aleah Quast surpassed 1,000 career digs in a 25-22, 17-25, 27-25, 19-25, 17-15 victory over Loras in the first match of the IIAC/NACC Crossover hosted by Central College at Kuyper Gym.

The Raiders (8-9) outlasted the Duhawks (5-8) in the first match before suffering a 25-19, 25-14, 25-9 sweep at the hands of Dubuque.

Quast entered the tournament needing five digs for 1,000 and she eclipsed that with ease against Loras, tallying 27 in the match to pace the defense. The team also had a season-high six solo blocks in the match, led by senior Holly Denfeld's three.

Offensively, senior Rachel Lynde had 16 kills and five service aces to lead the way, adding 11 digs. Junior Hannah Pekarek finished with 12 kills, three aces, and 26 digs, while senior Abby Born had 44 assists and 14 digs.

The Duhawks had three players reached double-digits in kills, led by Michelle Budden's 17. Kelly Boge added 13 and Abby Allgeyer had 10.

MSOE hit .100 for the match with 13 aces. Loras finished at .148 with 12 aces.

In the day's second match, Pekarek finished with five kills and three aces for the Red & White. The team hit just .012 in the match.

The IIAC/NACC Crossover continues Saturday, with the Raiders taking on Buena Vista at noon, followed by the host Dutch at 4 p.m.
