Box Score RIVER FOREST, Illinois – Senior Braden Andryk scored his school-record 62nd career goal for the MSOE men's soccer team but Dominican answered with a pair of goals to prevail with a 3-1 victory Wednesday afternoon at West Campus Field.
The Raiders (5-3, 1-1 NACC) had tied the match at 1-1 in the 49th minute on Andryk's goal, only to see the Stars (7-2, 3-0 NACC) pull ahead again for good 52 seconds later.
Andryk entered the day tied with his older brother Logan (2012-15) for the program record at 61 career goals.
With his side trailing 1-0 to start the second half, Braden Andryk took a ball on a long run from the midfield and carried into the box. He then slotted a shot to the far post that the keeper could not handle.
Dominican, however, answered right back and took the lead for goal just moments later, still in the 49th minute. The home team would add an insurance goal in the 53rd minute to put the game out of reach.
The Stars held an 11-6 shot advantage in the game, including 4-2 in shots on goal. Junior Riley Bruce made the start in goal and stopped one shot. A pair of keepers combined on one save for DU.
MSOE returns to action Saturday at Rockford.
