MEQUON, Wisconsin – The MSOE men's tennis team fell short in a showdown of the last two unbeaten teams, 7-2, against Concordia Wisconsin Wednesday afternoon at the CUW Tennis Courts.
The Raiders (7-7, 7-1 NACC) are guaranteed a top-two seed in the NACC Tournament and will return to action with a bye into the semifinals May 6. They can still earn a share of the league's regular-season title with a loss by the Falcons (11-11, 6-0 NACC) in either of their final two matches while two losses ensure MSOE the No. 1 seed.
Sophomore Curt Norton and freshman Connor Splingaire picked up wins for the Red & White. Norton played at No. 4 singles and secured a 7-6 (10-5), 6-4 victory.
Meanwhile, Splingaire picked up his eighth-straight win and finished the league season with a perfect 7-0 record. He played at No. 5 singles and won 6-2, 6-0.
