Women's Volleyball Starts Weekend With Loss at #19 Carthage

KENOSHA, Wisconsin - The MSOE women's volleyball fell to No. 19 Carthage 25-14, 25-12, 25-10 Friday night on the first day of the Carthage Invitational at Tarble Arena.

The Raiders (5-6) were overmatched by the Lady Reds (6-4) in the match, as the home team hit .410 on the way to a straight-sets victory.

Sophomore Megan Brock led the team with eight kills, six digs, and two service aces in the match.

Nicole Acton hit .700 (8-1-107) on her way to eight kills for Carthage while Meghan Behrendt added eight kills of her own.

MSOE hit -.033 on the night with just 18 kills among 91 attacks. Meanwhile, the Lady Reds finished with 42 kills against just eight errors.

The Raiders continue play at the Carthage Invite Saturday, taking on St. Mary's at 10 a.m. and Chicago at 2 p.m.
