Box Score MILWAUKEE – After falling to a Marian team that has dwelled in the bottom half of the NACC standings this season last Saturday, MSOE men's basketball was looking to get back on track and move above .500 on the season when they headed across town to take on Wisconsin Lutheran. Unfortunately, the shooting just wasn't there for the Raiders while the Warriors excelled from behind the arc in the Red & White's third straight loss.
RESULTS
MSOE – 71
Wisconsin Lutheran – 88
HOW IT HAPPENED
The strength of Wisconsin Lutheran's (4-2, 2-0 NACC) long distance attack was just too much for MSOE (3-4, 1-2 NACC) to handle last night. The Warriors shot 61.1 percent from three-point range, making 11 of their 18 shots, while the Raiders only converted on eight of their 22 attempts. The Red & White still shot 38.5 percent from the field throughout the two halves, but WLC outpaced them with their 48.4 percent mark. The Raiders saw themselves face an eight-point deficit at halftime, but eight second half turnovers prevented them from getting much traction in the second frame of the ballgame. While free throws, rebounds, and team fouls were just about even, the Warriors played the more consistent game over 40 minutes to take home the 17-point victory.
