Box Score MILWAUKEE – The defensive effort keeps coming, but the offensive results aren't there quite yet. MSOE women's basketball battled the visiting Dominican Stars every step of the way in Wednesday night's ballgame, but just couldn't get the big shots to fall down the stretch in a ten-point loss inside Hotchkin Arena.
RESULTS
Dominican – 49
MSOE – 39
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first quarter in tonight's contest was one to forget. MSOE (4-12, 4-7 NACC) scored just nine points, but what was worse was the 13-0 run that they allowed Dominican (12-4, 8-3 NACC) to go on to build up a nine-point lead to end the frame. However, it was a different Raider team from there on out. While they never led in the game tonight, they came back and outscore the Stars 13-12 in the second period, one in which they shot a game high 36.4 percent. Down just seven at the break, the Red & White stuck with Dominican but couldn't gain any traction in the third. Each squad scored just six points in the last ten minutes, with DU shooting just 25 percent. The Raiders just couldn't get anything going either, dropping three games below .500 in conference with nine to go.
