MSOE women's tennis wrapped up their 2021 fall schedule this past weekend when they played two of the top three teams in the NACC. While the results weren't what they would have preferred, they still did enough during their conference slate to secure a spot in the postseason tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Edgewood
- MSOE (6-8, 5-4 NACC) was able to secure a point in both singles and doubles play against first place Edgewood (9-4, 9-0 NACC)
- Michaela Haensgen and Brenna Sheehan came away victorious in the third doubles spot with an 8-5 decision.
- Sabrinal Blommel was the lone winner for the Red & White in solo action when she won in the sixth spot 6-0, 6-2.
- vs. Illinois Tech
- Unfortunately, the Raiders faltered a little more in their last match of the fall, as they were only able to snag one point against third place Illinois Tech (8-4, 7-2 NACC).
- Blommel kept up her stellar play as of late with a 7-6, 6-1 victory again out of the last solo slot.
WHAT'S NEXT
With the two matches over the weekend, MSOE women's tennis has wrapped up their fall schedule. They will resume play in the spring before heading into the NACC women's tennis tournament as the fifth seed in early May.
