Box Score MILWAUKEE – The playoffs are in reach for MSOE women's volleyball, but with only three games remaining, every single contest can sway their hopes one way or another. Unfortunately, things went the opposite way in which the Raiders would have hoped as Aurora beat the home team in straight sets.
RESULT
Aurora – 3 (25-25-25)
MSOE RAIDERS – (21-21-14)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (18-10, 7-4 NACC) hit .267 as a team in the first set but had to play catchup for most of the frame. The Raiders got close several times but not enough to overtake Aurora (10-1, 16-7 NACC) in the 25-21 loss.
- Set two was much of the same as the first. However, this time the Red & White had a substantial lead early that they just couldn't hold on to in another 25-21 defeat.
- Unfortunately, the wheels fell off the cart for MSOE in the third. The Raiders had their lowest hitting set of the night at .109 while the Spartans attacked at a .273 clip to win the deciding frame via a 25-14 score.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak to Aurora with their last victory coming during the 2013 season. The Spartans lead the all-time series 9-7.
