Women's Tennis Comes Up Short At North Park

CHICAGO –  MSOE women's tennis wrapped up non-conference play for the 2021 season when they traveled to North Park on Tuesday afternoon. The Red & White battled throughout the contest but weren't able to leave the Windy City with a win.

MATCH SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
North Park – 6

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • MSOE (6-6, 5-2 NACC) got off to a good start as Cameron Larson and Karley Way came away victorious after an intense battle out of the top doubles spot with an 8-6, 7-4 win.
  • Unfortunately, things didn't go the Raiders way in singles action as the Red & White dropped four out of the six matches.
  • Cierra Smith and Michaela Haensgen took care of business however with 7-6, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-4 wins respectively.
  • The Raiders almost came away with another point but Sabrinal Blommel came up just short in a loss out of the fifth spot.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will wrap up their regular season this weekend when they take on Edgewood and Illinois Tech. First up will be the Eagles in Madison on Saturday starting at 10:00 am.
