Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE women's basketball was back at the Kern Center and looking to close out the 2021 portion of their NACC season with a win against Benedictine. The two teams played an extremely close ballgame for 30 minutes but the Raiders couldn't keep up in the fourth quarter on Saturday.
FINAL SCORE
Benedictine – 55
MSOE RAIDERS – 43
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Defense was on full display this afternoon inside Hotchkin Arena as MSOE (3-3, 2-2 NACC) and Benedictine (5-5, 3-1 NACC) battled back and forth in a very low scoring affair for the first three quarters.
- The Raiders held the Eagles to just 23.1 percent shooting from the field in that time, though their own offensive production was only slightly better.
- Unfortunately, the Eagles woke up in the fourth and scored 28 points, one more than they put together in the first three quarters combined.
- MSOE tried to keep pace, scoring 16 of their own, but it just wasn't enough in the 12-point loss.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders have dropped three straight contests to Benedictine and are 3-7 against the Eagles in their last ten ballgames.
- The Red & White bench was out in force today and contributed 22 points in the losing effort.
