Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE women's basketball was back at home for the first time in almost a month and ready to push their winning streak to four games. The Raiders battled with Concordia Wisconsin all night long but fell just short in a three-point loss.
FINAL SCORE
Concordia Wisconsin – 54
MSOE RAIDERS – 51
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a defensive battle on the court tonight as MSOE (3-2, 2-1 NACC) pestered Concordia Wisconsin (4-3, 3-1 NACC) all night. The two teams played a tough first quarter before the Falcons took advantage of a dip in the Raiders shooting to take a five-point lead into the second half.
- The Raiders returned the favor, outscoring CUW 17-7 in the third to set up a nail-biting fourth frame.
- Both teams traded the lead back and forth, but the difference came in the free throw department. CUW got to the line 13 times, making seven, while the Red & White were 4-7 from the stripe in the final quarter.
- MSOE had a chance to tie the game with a last second three-pointer, but it missed the mark in a three-point loss.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders keep playing CUW extremely tough each time out lately. Their last three ballgames have been settled by six points or less.
- The Red & White defense forced the Falcons to cough up the ball 23 times this evening.
