Box Score PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Usually when the opposing team is limited to just a couple of shots, you are probably going to be the ones on the winning end of the ballgame. Unfortunately, the Raiders were the ones to be dealt the loss. Lakeland tallied just two shots all night, but the Red & White were sent home with a one goal defeat.
RESULTS
MSOE RAIDERS – 0
Lakeland – 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (0-1, 0-1 NACC North) just has to shake this one off. There was not much else the Raiders could have done to stifle the Lakeland (1-0, 1-0 NACC North) offense this evening, limiting the Muskies to just two shots in 90-minutes of action. Unfortunately, one of those two shots found the back of the net in the 5th minute of the contest, a tally that would both open and close the scoring in the game. The Raiders took a total of 14 shots but the six that found their way to the Lakeland netminder were stopped before hitting the twine. The Red & White dominated in corner kicks as well to the tune of 8-2 and didn't allow a single shot from the Fish in the second half but just couldn't make anything happen on the offensive end at Taylor Field on Wednesday evening in a 1-0 shutout loss.
